China and Central Eastern Europe Country
Innovation Forum 2017

during the 2nd Ministerial Conference on Innovation between Central Eastern European Countries and China

26th - 29th November 2017

Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, Bratislava, Slovakia

Under the auspices of

China and Central Eastern Europe Innovation Forum 2017

The Conference is organised under the “16+1” platform, created in April 2012 in Warsaw by China and the 16 Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries to intensify and expand cooperation in the fields of investments, transport, finance, science, education, and culture. In the framework of the initiative, China has defined three potential priority areas for economic cooperation: infrastructure, high technologies, and green technologies.
Within this framework of cooperation, Slovakia has been appointed as a leading country for innovation and has agreed with China to host and organise the annual CEEC and China inter-ministerial conference on innovation and technology transfer.
The 2nd Ministerial Conference on Innovation between CEEC and China aims to become a leading platform to set up collaboration between innovation ecosystems in China and the 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. It promotes collaboration and investments in excellent research and innovation projects to create the successful exchange of ideas, talents, know-how and resources within the 16+1 format.
The 2nd edition of the Conference will focus on collaboration in the following innovation areas:

  • Biotechnology (incl. HealthTech and AgriFood)
  • Green Energy and CleanTech
  • ICT (Information and Communication Technologies)
  • Material Engineering

The event will provide ample opportunity for presentation of the most interesting innovation and technology projects from both CEE and China and will create a platform to establish fruitful collaboration during the B2B matchmaking forum.
